THE Mascor Monthly Mug was played on Saturday, October 5. Spring treatment has been completed on the greens by greenkeeper Wally and his staff, and after some work on some of the tee boxes, we now wait for rain to complete the job. Thank you Wally and staff. The winner of the Mug and B division was Bigboy Ngonyama on 66 net and second was Tienie Muller 70 net. He was also the winning St Cathryn’s member. A division first was Marthinus Steyn 74 net and second was John Mlangeni 79 net. Clearly the A division boys did not enjoy the freshly scarified greens so much. Thank you to Mascor for sponsoring our Monthly Mug. We urge golfers to assist greenkeeper Wally in his preparations for the Classic by repairing your divots on the tee boxes and pitch marks, which will start to show on the greens. We remind all golfers to enter the Greytown Child and Youth Care Centre Charity Golf Day which will take place this coming Saturday, October 12. We need your support for this very worthy cause. The entry list is up on the board at the club, as is the entry list for the Greytown Classic, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 2. — Supplied.
