THE Greytown Feeding Project is up and running having started again last week providing much appreciated hot nutritious meals twice a week to pensioners, children and those less fortunate.

An average of eight meals are provided each month on a Tuesday and Thursday and the number of people benefitting from this community project has increased steadily since the opening of the new premises at 68 Voortrekker Street in June last year.

It is expected that the numbers will increase week by week. Currently the cost of the meals is approximately R600 per session.

Greytown Feeding Project is most grateful for the encouragement and donations received from the warmhearted and generous people of Greytown and extend a big thank you and appreciation to businesses, farmers, schools, religious organisations, individuals and community members for their donations, contributions and sponsorships.

This support has enabled the GPF to feed the many destitute and needy members of the community, and in addition, to contribute to the needs of crèches, day care centres and homes in Greytown.

This totally voluntary project is kept going for the many destitute and needy people by committed dedicated volunteers.

For further information or to make a donation, contact chairperson D.R. Aheer on 082 778 0292 or pop in at the Greytown Feeding Project at 68 Voortrekker Street on a Tuesday or Thursday and see this very worthwhile project in action.
