WE congratulate our primary school pupils and their parents on their fine achievements in 2017.

Special awards went to Nicola Ortmann (arts and drama, Good Progress in Music Certificate, Trinity College London Level 1 Award Grade 3 Recorder - with Merit), Carolina Hoffmann (Rudolf and Jo Aulfes Trophy for language proficiency in English, Afrikaans and German; Outstanding Achievements in Music Certificate; Trinity College London Level 1 Award Grade 3 Recorder - with Merit), Mischa Chetty (Trinity College London Level 1 Award Grade 3 Recorder - with Merit, Good Input in Music Certificate), Kayla Shearing (the HMB Trust Prize for environmental studies), and Mishka Khan (Heritage prize for social sciences and keen participation in the Grade 7 tour to Cape Town - sponsored by the Hermannsburg Museum, the Mrs Alwar Memorial Mathematics Trophy, and the Afrikaans Trophy).

The coveted Sigrid Strobel Pokal (Trophy) for service to the school went to Kayla Shearing.

Our primary school participates in the Match bench-marking tests, intended to provide primary schools with an independent assessment of their Grade 7 pupils’ preparedness for high school in terms of academic proficiency and the necessary skills needed for continued success at high school level.

We congratulate Greg Kassier (silver certificate) and Mishka Khan (bronze certificate) on their results.

Julian Königkrämer was awarded a platinum certificate for playing for the KZN Inland B Team, while the following pupils received certificates for academic achievement: bronze certificates went to Mishka Khan, Mischa Chetty, Desireé Surendorff, Shaakirah Ebrahim, Heiko Ortmann, Muhammed Hoosen and Daniel Surendorff. Silver certificates went to Ariya Khan, Aamina Mahomed and Carolina Hoffmann.
