THE Hermannsburg Congregation Hall was packed with friends, family, Kindergarten children and Grade 1 pupils and staff of the primary school and the Kindergarten to celebrate the achievements of the Grade Rs, who will be moving to Grade 1 next year.

The Grade Rs had prepared a play for the “Little Oaks” based on the popular Chicken Licken, followed by a slide show portraying the Kindergarten’s activities and achievements throughout the year.

Dressed in caps and gowns, the proud Grade Rs received their certificates and were welcomed to the primary school with a delightful poem recited by the Grade 1s.

The event closed with refreshments and all are looking forward to welcoming the new Grade 1s to the primary school at Hermannsburg next year.

While on the topic of welcoming to Hermannsburg, we all look forward to welcoming Ms Katja Pfafferott to Hermannsburg in 2018.

She is a qualified occupational therapist, and while doing her internship at Hermannsburg she will assist pupils who have difficulty with concentration and other learning challenges. Ms Pfafferott will be assisting in various aspects of school activities. The senior classes finish the exams this week, but the matrics will only finish next week. We wish all matrics everything of the best for the last few exams and may their future dreams come true.
