“BRING the Joy” is our school’s challenge for the year — to bring joy to people wherever we are, whatever we are doing, in whatever measure we can.

Each term, we look at ways to meet that challenge.

We rounded off the second term with a gratitude week, where we looked, each day, for people to whom we could say “thank you”.

This term, we are focusing on looking for happiness, not in “things”, but by looking for and expecting something good to happen each day, not allowing our joy to be stolen by negative things that happen, laughing more at ourselves and finding something to laugh about each day, forgiving ourselves and others for mistakes, and learning to enjoy God, ourselves and the people around us.

We look forward to a challenging term with joy.

We congratulate Liteboho Mosheshe, Angelika Meyer and Clara Kohrs — Hermannsburg’s choristers in the KZN Youth Choir — on their and the choir’s achievements in Austria during our school holidays from July 5 to July 10.

The choir, which consists of 62 members from 33 schools across the province, beat choirs from across the world to take home joint first place with São Vicente a Cappella in the mixed choir category.
