OUR Primary School spent three days at BergVenture during the annual Primary School Camp last week. Pupils were able to go abseiling at a waterfall, go horse-riding, tree-climbing and zip-lining to mention some of the activities. They also had lots of fun and games on the lawn at BergVenture, making their own chicken potjie and getting dirty while doing the obstacle course. There was great food and the lovely, helpful and energetic facilitators took good care of everyone. A big thank you goes to BergVenture and team. At the same time, the Grade 9s enjoyed a wonderful three-day stay at the beautiful L’Abri Outdoor Adventure centre, in Karkloof, on their class camp. They were blessed with sunshine and warm evenings and they all enjoyed chatting over hot chocolate and star-gazing in the exquisite stillness of the indigenous forests of the Karkloof. There were lots of challenges, some sore muscles and many good laughs as the pupils explored the theme “who am I?”Our 27th HMB Golf Day is coming up on the weekend, with the Friday field teeing off at 11 am on September 20 and the Saturday field due to start at 10 am on September 21. There are still some slots available for those who would like to join in for a round of golf. Please contact the school secretary at 074 125 0054 for entry forms and details. — Supplied.
