Hermannsburg proudly offers German language tuition up to the level of the Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD — German language diploma), an examination set in Germany which enables our pupils to attain a qualification at an international level.

If passed at the highest level, pupils may enter universities in Germany without having to pass an additional language entrance examination.

In 2017, 20 Grade 10 pupils completed the written and oral components of the DSD I examination. Of these, 11 passed at the higher B1 level, while four received certificates for passing at the A2 level.

In the Grade 12 class, 18 pupils completed the oral and written components of the DSD II examination, with six passing at the highest C1 level.

The pupils received their diploma certificates last week.
