“WHAT I want to be when I grow up” is an exciting theme, and is the current topic in the Kindergarten. With lots of career-related materials like dramatic play outfits, posters, books, puzzles, creative activities and games, the Little Oaks were exposed to many different careers over the past week.
They learnt about community helpers and the jobs of other professionals. Exposing children to a variety of careers at an early age can play a major role in the direction a child’s life takes - it was very interesting to hear what the Little Oaks knew about their mom’s and dad’s careers.
They shared among each other what their dream job might be one day, and there was a big variety - from fire fighter, nurse, builder and shopkeeper to policeman and farmer. So it will be interesting to see what the future holds for our Little Oaks - everything is possible.
