LAST term the Little Oaks started to collect plastic milk bottles with the goal of having environmentally friendly benches made for the primary school and Kindergarten playgrounds.
It is a wonderful project as it will not only make our school grounds look beautiful with all eco-friendly benches and tables, but we will also have helped reduce plastic waste in our community - and in South Africa. Each ton of plastic that is recycled saves nearly six cubic metres of landfill space. We are proud to be an eco-school, and with this new project, we continue to improve our school’s environment.
