OUR Grade R pupils are having lots of fun completing the Deutschland Rally questionnaires where you don’t have to read German to participate.
Mrs Uta Malzahn reads the questions in German and then in English, and pupils then search for the answers on the 12 posters that have been prepared for the rally.
As soon as they have found an answer, they write it down on their questionnaire, and then listen to some fun facts about the place they have identified, or the special item mentioned on the poster.
A total of 21 questions can be answered, introducing our pupils to landscapes, rivers, cities, and other interesting facts about Germany and its culture.
There are questionnaires for Grade R to Grade 3, Grade 4 to Grade 7 and Grade 8 to Grade 12, with the teachers helping our pupils up to Grade 9.
The answers to the questions will be revealed on our German Day on Friday, October 6, with wonderful prizes available.
