Hermannsburg’s pupils enjoyed an adventurous morning last Monday, coming face to face with Burmese pythons.

Whether scared or excited, our pupils were engaged throughout the presentation.

What an experience it was for us to see these enormous snakes!

Vic Rencken shared a lot of fascinating information about his snakes, while the snakes slithered freely around the room. We could watch their movements and touch them, but we also listened to his important message: snakes can be dangerous, and we must never touch a snake we don’t know.

Those pupils who were brave enough, were given the opportunity to drape a python over their bodies under the watchful eye of Rencken. It was a true hands-on learning experience for all our pupils.

A big thank you goes to Rencken for always giving of his time to show and tell us about his pythons.
