Hermannsburg Oktoberfest

2018-10-03 06:02

IT’S time to dust off those Lederhosen, squeeze into that Dirndl, and make your way to the Oktoberfest at the Hermannsburg Hall on Saturday, October 6, from 6.30 pm.

The Craft Beer on offer is being brought in all the way from Kroondal, near Rustenberg, brewed by top-brewer Imke Pape of Brauhaus am Damm — a brewery nestled in the Magaliesberg Mountains.

All craft beer from Brauhaus am Damm is brewed strictly according to the Bavarian “Reinheitsgebot” of 1516, the oldest cuisine and beverage law in the world. This law states that only water, barley malt, and hops may be used to produce beer. Yeast had yet to be discovered. No additives, preservatives, filtering or pasteurising.

The combination of the brewing skills of their brewer, the high-tech brewing equipment, and best ingredients imported from Germany, has meant that Brauhaus am Damm has become is a well-known brand in the Craft Beer Industry, winning various awards and prizes with its truly unique and delicious beers, including the South African National Beer Trophy for three consecutive years and the People’s Choice Award at the Clarens Craft Beer Festival for two consecutive years.

Tickets to the Oktoberfest cost R250, which includes supper, oompah band and complementary beer glass — the first one filled!

Tickets are limited to 200 so early booking is recommended.

The age limit is from 18 years old.
