HERMANNSBURG will reverberate to the sound of motorcycle engines as two-and-four-wheelers take to the trail this Sunday, 14 April.

The fun ride is not only for adults. All children and teenagers with their own motorbikes or four-wheelers, who are interested in enduro as a sport, are invited to join in the fun too.

The Fun Ride has a 35km loop for adults and those with more advanced skills, and there is a “kiddies’ loop” to assist the youngsters in growing their skills.

Registration is at 7am, the track briefing at 9.15am and the fun starts at 9.30am (R250 for adults and R50 for kiddies).

Join us for a morning of fun, fun, fun. For more information, contact Günther Köhne 082 374 9602 or Mike Terry 074 132 7442 or check it out on Facebook - Hermannsburg fun ride).—Supplied.

AT the end of February, a borehole was presented to the Mount Ernestina Combined School and community by Islamic Relief South Africa (IRSA).

IRSA is an international charity organisation which assists communities with water projects.

Their slogan is “Give water, save lives”.

The borehole was the result of requests made by the school in 2017.

The borehole uses electricity to fill up a tank which is connected to the school’s water system. There are also two taps outside the school which are accessible to community members.

This project came as a relief to learners and community as the school will now have a lifetime, uninterrupted supply of water.

The principal, the school management, teachers, learners, SUB and the community were so appreciative of the project and thanked IRSA. — Supplied.
