Hoax calls, a no-no

2015-12-16 06:00

THE Greytown Police Station commander Major Khumalo has issued an appeal to the public to stop making hoax calls to the police.

Children in particular make false alarm calls to them, which takes up time and prevents the police from attending to genuine crisis calls. Parents are urged to inform their children that, in terms of the law, anyone making hoax calls can be penalised.

The station commander said the police are doing their best to assist anyone in trouble or with a problem - please do not make it more difficult for them.
