FOR Mhlumbe Primary School in Opathe, 2 August will be a special day to be remembered when past pupil Mandlakhe Mtshali, who grew up in the area, donated a huge amount to his old school.

Mr Mtshali, who now lives in Johannesburg and is chairman of KTVA Bus Services, donated full school uniforms to 20 pupils, 10 state-of-the art computers and R15 000 cash.

Dr F.J. Sikhakhane the school principal said: "I don't even know how to express my joy. What happened in this school I have never seen before."
He thanked Mr Mtshali and the KTVA Bus Service team, and parents were crying tears of joy and pupils and staff expressed their happiness. - Mr Sabelo Zondi
