PUPILS from Indlovana Primary School took part in a number of activities last week. The first activity was the Readers Cup competition challenge where pupils had to read widely, work collaboratively in a team, and continue developing a love of reading. The competition allows readers to compete at a regional and state level, similar to sporting competitions, and to meet other students with an equal passion for books. Indlovana received second position in the motivational speech category and third position in poetry. The second activity was athletics. The Cross-Country Circuit Management Centre (CMC) level was held at King Edward Park on Friday, July 19. We would like to congratulate the pupils that were selected to take part in the district event, that will be held in Pomeroy on August 3.The last activity of the day was the celebration of Mandela Day. The school took part in a Mandela Day project that was organised by the Soul Buddies and pupils cleaned the school. Thank you to the principal and the staff for the endless support in making all activities a success. — Supplied.
