ALTHOUGH there was a false alarm on Sunday about a remote jamming incident, police and security teams appeal to motorists to be alert when parking in a public car park or on the street.
If you are using a remote double check to see that your vehicle is locked before you walk away.

While computer users have been muttering and groaning since the beginning of the year about major problems with Vodacom, internet hackers went one step further on Monday.
They managed to compromise a local service provider’s account.
This in turn led to the server being blocked and blacklisted, which in turn led to major communication problems for the service provider and its clients.
By the time you read this on Wednesday morning all should be clear, but the mindless, purposeless, stupid hacking took 24 hours to clear.
