SPRING has sprung once again at Greytown Junior School.
It is a much anticipated and much appreciated tradition that in the first week of September every year spring is celebrated with beautiful spring flowers. The pot plants are delivered to businesses, senior citizens, the library and many others throughout the town, not only as a welcome to spring, but as a thank you to all those who support the school.
This year the Grade 5e class with teacher Mr W. Aziz organised a spring day display and explained the importance of plants and animals in our lives. A special thank you to Mrs Sheryl Beckett and staff at RTS Greytown and to Mr Meloshan Moodley for their contribution.

On Saturday 3 September athletics team travelled to Deutsche Schule Hermannsburg to participate in the annual Umvoti Athletics meeting, in which four school participated with athletes from seven to 13 taking part.
The level of competition and good sportsmanship ensured a day that was enjoyed by all.

A number of our athletes did exceptionally well, receiving first and second places and a few records were also broken. Nthando Makhaye received the victor ludorum and the winning house was Greytown Junior School with 365 points.
Greytown Junior School thank Deutsche Schule Hermannsburg for organising such a wonderful meeting and also to our athletes for doing so well.
- Mr A. Stanczyk.
