SPRING has sprung. It is a much anticipated and much appreciated Greytown tradition that in the first week of September every year, Greytown Junior celebrates the first day of spring with beautiful colourful spring flowers.

The pot plants are delivered to businesses, senior citizens, the library and many others throughout the town, not only a welcome to spring, but as a thank you to those who support the school. This is a tradition thoroughly enjoyed by all recipients.

On Saturday 2 September we travelled to Hermannsburg to take part in an inter-school athletics meeting. Four schools took part in this meeting and we came first with a total of 473 points.

Individually our athletes did extremely well receiving 24 first places, 19 second places, 20 third places, 13 fourth places and 15 fifth places. Our U11 boy, Cassius Yu, was awarded the victor ludorum. We would like to thank Deutche Schule Hermannsburg for organising this wonderful event.
