Mini Cricket

On Tuesday, February 19 our Grade 1 and Grade 2 sides travelled to Wartburg.

The Grade 1 side played against New Hanover, who made 18 runs for the loss of two wickets. Although the boys tried their best, Greytown made 16 runs for the loss of two wickets.

The Grade 2 side played against Athlone, who made 21 runs for the loss of three wickets. Greytown made 17 runs for the loss of four wickets.

U/13 Rugby

On Friday, February 22, Greytown Junior travelled to Pietermaritzburg and attended the Ralph Cawood day/night series where they played a total of three games against Glenwood one, Glenwood two, and Pelham one. Unfortunately we lost two games and drew one, but we gained much-needed experience.

Cricket sponsorship report

Greytown Junior School would like to convey our sincere appreciation to a number of businesses in Greytown.

As one of the only government schools in the district to offer a full sport program, help is needed often.

Due to these generous sponsors, our U13 cricket team received new shirts, bats, helmets, and cricket gloves. We wish to thank Greytown Auto Paints, BSB Enterprises, RTS Greytown, Plennegy, Gala Trading, Umvoti Repairs, and Greytown Cricket Club.

Our boys love cricket and we are so grateful to the above sponsors for allowing our boys to represent our school so proudly.
