Khayalami Children’s Village provides loving and caring homes for the 58 orphans and abandoned children who happily live there.

The 10th house, which is also the last one to be built, has taken over a year to complete. Khayalami chairperson Hans Holst told Greytown Gazette it had taken time as they raised funds for the project. He expressed his gratitude to Bracken Timbers, Build it and Aheers Building Supplies for their generous support.

Although the house is now completed the eight boys who will live in this new home will not be able to move in yet.

Khayalami is appealing for assistance to purchase beds, linen, fridge, stove, table and chairs, ward-robes, kitchen cupboards and all the little things needed to get a home functioning.

The total budget for all of this is R40 000 and Mr Holst is appealing to anyone who would be able to help towards completing the house and make it a home to contact him on 082 951 1312.
