A RULING has finally been made by the Land Claims Court of South Africa in the long-standing matter between Lot 194 Marina Beach and the Muden respondents, who were declared by the court as being labour tenants in terms of the Land Reform Act.
This matter has been ongoing since 1993 highlighted by marches, protests and general protest by the group at the lack of progress on the part of government and the province.
The ruling continues that the 362nd respondent (State), in order to acquire the properties as listed by the court, an amount of R36 126 400 has to be paid.
The Land Claims Court ruling was made at a sitting in Randburg on 17 November, 2016.
