Life sentence at Greytown Regional Court

On Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1 pm at Othulininilwezulu area, Msinga, an eight-year-old female going home from her friend’s house on foot.

Her neighbour called her and sent her to the local store to buy chips.

The victim, as a minor, obeyed and went to the store and purchased the chips.

The victim then went to hand the chips to the neighbour.

The neighbour, a 23-year-old Mr Lungisani Chorus Majola, then asked the victim to lie to his brother that she is going to use the toilet. The suspect then grabbed the victim, took her to the nearby bushes and inserted his fingers into the victims vagina.

The victim was shocked and afraid of what was happening to her.

The neighbour gave the victim money and told her not to tell his brother. He told her he would leave her in the bushes and she must pretend as if she had been using the toilet.

The victim then reported the matter to the other neigbours and FCS attended. The suspect was arrested and the matter proceeded at court.

Majola was found guilty on June 13 at theGreytown Regional Court and sentenced to life imprisonment.
