THERE was much joy and happiness on Saturday 23 July as Little Elephant eNdlovana Diocesan School celebrated its 25th birthday at a special service in St James Anglican Church, Greytown.

There was a good turn-out with members of St James's parish, other Anglican schools and parents attending. The Bishop of Natal, Bishop Dino and his wife Elizabeth, also joined in.

Reverend Reg Morgan, one of the founders, and his wife Helen travelled from Queenstown for the occasion. Reverend Morgan recalled Little Elephant's humble beginnings and the importance and meaning of Little Elephant's motto: "Dream dreams".

Bishop Dino spoke about the church’s involvement in education.

Parents, visitors and children enjoyed tea and eats after the service and watched as Bishop Dino cut the special Little Elephant birthday cake Some visitors also visited their old classrooms.
