ELECTRICITY woes are never ending when you live in Greytown.

The latest debacle will have you playing Sherlock Holmes.

Residents are advised to scrutinise your latest bill (if you are lucky enough to receive one on time) with a magnifying glass, a good calculator and basic understanding of Mathematics.

Have you noticed a sudden increase on your latest statement?

Perhaps have a closer look at the meter reading dates from previous statements to current.

Several consumers have noticed that the time period is not the expected four weeks but seven weeks!

When queried the response is, “Sorry I wrote the wrong date, but the meter reading is right”.

Well that’s okay then, I will pay this obviously inflated amount no worries mate, you just go back to your AVON catalogue! NOT!

This begs the question…if you cannot get the date correct, how certain are we that you are able to accurately record a five-digit figure?

Another alarming point would be the due dates, statement dated September 7, 2018 has a due date of August 15, 2016? Not forgetting the misspelled SURBUB at the top of the statement.

I for one keep expecting Leon Schuster to pop up as this is nasty prank at best!

Surely we as ratepayers can’t be expected to deal with this poor level of service?
