Mascor Squash Championships

IT is all go for the finals of the Mascor Squash Championships and Handicaps to be played in Greytown on Friday October 27.

There were a couple of upsets this year. The first being no six-seed Jacques du Preez, who beat number three seed Conrad Fourie 3-2.

A very interesting match between the top fifth league player Julie Lee, seeded number five and Dolf van Rooyen, seeded number one played last Wednesday evening drew a number of interested spectators and after a hard and entertaining match, Dolf proved to be the stronger player winning 3-0.

He then faced Quintus Coetzee, number four seed and lost to the fit Quintus, 3-1.


THE MATCHES SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY:

5pm - handicap finals and Plate finals

6pm - ladies singles finals

7pm - men’s singles finals

Players who have not yet paid their R50 championship fee, please pay at the bar before the finals.
