A TOTAL of 300 community members attended the Mhlangana Clinic Open Day on 23 August.
Dignatories at the event included Inkosi N.E. Mchunu, Dr. F.J. Sikhakhane, Umzinyathi Speaker, Mr. M. Sithole, Ward Councillor Induna Malembe and Induna M.E. Ximba as well as the clinic committee chairperson.

A number of informative and educational talks were given on oral health, the booking system, ambulance services and so on and the Mhlangana community care givers entertained with educational songs and the Amatsheyitshe group performed Indlamu.

An open day basically is an event where an institution gives brief information on how it operates and an insight on the services that are available at that particular institution.

Services available at Mhlangana Clinic include the treatment of minor ailments, family planning, chronic disease management, immunisation, counselling, TB management, HIV/Aids management, mental health, ante- and post-natal care, rehabilitation, pap smears, health education, dental care, maternity services, STI management, nutrition, emergency services, communicable diseases, medical male circumcision, eye health and centralised chronic medicines dispensing and distribution (CCMDD).
