VARIOUS activities are taking place at Mount Ernestina Combined School.

Last Thursday, eight pupils went to Keates Drift to participate in a schools’ drama competition. They did well to achieve sixth position at the event.

Last Saturday, 10 pupils participated in the Umzinyathi District Cross Country event, held in Greytown at King Edward Park.

Three of the pupils were selected for the district team, which will participate in the Provincial Cross Country event being held in Newcastle in September.

Selected pupils were Senzo Khumalo, Phelelani Ntsapha and Menzi Mzolo.

Teachers and pupils are busy every afternoon, preparing cultural groups to participate in Umvoti CMC Cultural activities, to be held this coming Friday at King Edward Park.
