ON Monday last week a Jika Imfundo workshop, facilitated by Priscilla "Jika Imfundo" Guliwe, was held at Mount Ernestina Combined School.

In attendance were all members of the senior management team (SMT) and staff members.

Jika Imfundo is a campaign advocated by non-governmental organisation Pilo — it's main aim is to assist teachers to plan properly to ensure that the curriculum is covered every term.

The school management and teachers were very appreciative of the workshop and thanked the facilitator.

Last Wednesday, teachers and pupils welcomed spring with a special event after classes. Pupils performed a variety of activities, such as dancing, singing, poetry, pupils imitating teachers and the cherry on top was the beauty pageant where Miss Summer was selected.

The event was an enormous success. — Thanda Jila.
