LAST Friday teachers and pupils celebrated Heritage Day at the school. In the morning, Ms SS Masondo and Ms HF Sokhela presented information to the pupils about cultural importance, history, cultural clothing and food for different cultures. Cultural diversity was displayed by pupils through their clothing. There were Zulus, Xhosas, Indians, Sothos and Muslims represented. On Thursday, grade one to three travelled to Durban for their end of the year excursion. Their tour started at the Pavillion Shopping Mall, then moved on to Durban harbour, Mini Town, and finally to the beach. Their teachers were so appreciative of the support they received from SMT and parents.—Thanda Jila.
