THE past week was busy as usual at Mount Ernestina Combined School.

In an Umvoti CMC Reader’s Cup competition held in Greytown, Grade 11 pupils came first in the dialogue category and were presented with two trophies. Winning pupils will now participate at the district level competition, to be held at the beginning of August.

Last Saturday, the school debate, soccer and netball teams travelled to Makhabeleni area in Kranskop. They were visiting Makhedama High School to play against their teams. In debate, Mount Ernestina Combined School won with 46 points to 24. In soccer, team A played a draw of one goal on each side and team B was beaten with one goal. Netball teams played very well. School management, teachers and pupils thanked Makhedama High School for being a great host. — Supplied.
