ALL male teachers at Mount Ernestina Combined School attended an event held at Greytown Lodge, to celebrate July, men’s month on July 19.

The event was organised by female staff members and started in the afternoon at 3 pm, with a presentation by Greytown Hospital nurses.

They spoke about matters affecting men, covering issues such as HIV and Aids testing, circumcision and different types of cancer, with an emphasis on prostate cancer.

They told the teachers that all men above 40 years of age are at risk of being affected by prostate cancer.

They encouraged all men to test regularly. After the informative presentation, teachers were treated to refreshments. The teachers were very appreciative of the event and thanked the female teachers, Greytown Hospital and Greytown Lodge for the event. — Supplied.
