AS South Africa mourned the passing of “mother of the nation” Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, Mount Ernestina teachers and pupils joined in.

Last Friday during the morning assembly Mr S.S. Mhlanzi led all in prayer.

Ms N.M. Mbatha gave a brief history of the struggle icon and the national anthem was sang. All female staff members were dressed in black and had a “doek” on their heads.
