IT is very important for people in general to engage themselves in physical activities to keep healthy.

To promote healthy living, five teachers and two pupils from Mount Ernestina Combined School participated in the Mandela Day Marathon. Participating teachers were QE Khanyile, ZC Mbhele, NO Dumakude, BT Jila, and VM Zulu. Pupils who participated were Andiswa Xulu and Sbusiso Dlamini.

Teachers were examplary in promoting a healthy lifestyle. They all ran 10km, starting at the Howick Indoor Sports Centre and ending at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site.

Last Friday, learners from the school participated in Umvoti CMC cultural activities held at King Edward Park in Greytown. The results for the school were as follows: Amahubo for Boys got position one, isicathamiya, praise poetry and Amahubo for Girls all got position three. The school management and teachers expressed their pride at the performances of pupils. — Supplied.
