THE bail applications by the five accused of murdering three people to claim their insurance will continue again in the Greytown Magistrate’s Court on Thursday as it was not finalised at the second hearing last Friday.

The bail hearings have been marked by a handful of protestors from Matimatolo holding placards claiming that bail must be granted that the five are innocent and “they know who the killers are”.

The five are being charged with murder and attempted murder following the death of Mzohuhle Zuma, who it is alleged, was drugged then run over by a vehicle as was the second victim Sonasokhe Mdlalose.

The third victim survived two attempts to kill her and a fourth was shot dead.

The State claims that insurance policies had been taken out on the victims with the names of three of the female accused listed as beneficiaries and that some policies had been paid out.
