National Forests Amendment Bill public hearings

HE Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will this week commence with public hearings on the National Forests Amendment Bill, which seeks to provide special measures for the protection of certain forests and trees, and promote the sustainable use of forests for environmental, economical, educational, recreational, cultural, health and spiritual purposes.

The Bill also seeks to promote the sustainable management and development of forests for the benefit of all.

A public hearing will be held at the following venue from 10am to 4pm on Friday 6 October at Enhlalakhe Community Hall, Greytown.
