ON Friday, 17 March New Hanover Prep hosted the official opening and blessing of the new indoor centre and multi-purpose hall. What a special day it was for all those who attended and shared in this milestone in the school’s history.

Esteemed guests, NHP children and families were welcomed in the church for a service about blessings.

There was much excitement as the children made their way into the indoor centre for the first time.

NHP headmaster, James Hough, addressed all those present and former South African cricket captain Shaun Pollock cut the ribbon and officially opened this wonderful facility. The children were ecstatic to meet their cricket hero.

The children’s beautiful singing, the brass band playing and the national anthem resonating throughout the indoor centre were all moments which gave goose bumps and a lump in one’s throat.

The youngest and oldest children in the school rang the bell while balloons were released in celebration of this special event.
