IT’S clear the world needs more innovation and more entrepreneurs.
Creative thinking is the key to innovation, and the world is changing so quickly that our children need to be innovative to stay ahead of the curve and be successful. If they develop a solid entrepreneurial mind-set at an early age, they will see challenges as opportunities and confront them with confidence to innovate and create value in the world.

Market Day at New Hanover Prep aims to recognise and foster entrepreneurship in children. It encourages free-thinking and helps the children to believe in their own ideas and abilities.
This year was, once again, a great success with 30 stalls selling a variety of quality goods as well as providing fun activities and entertainment.

By running their own market stalls, children build communication and organisation skills, learn how to be a leader and how to self-promote, but they also learn much more.
Understanding and applying the principles of entrepreneurship helps children realise the outcome of their efforts. Basic business practices like understanding what ideas earn money and discovering the importance of goal setting can help children become more productive adults.
