October Farmers’ Market

2016-09-21 06:00

GREYTOWN’S Farmers’ Market has become one of the most popular community outdoor markets boasting a range of products for breakfast, lunch or to eat at home.

The next market will take place at the Beehive on Saturday, 15 October from 9am to 2pm.

Greytown Child Youth Care Centre spokesperson, Ayanda Mabaso said: “The farmers’ market has various stalls selling carefully selected produce and products that are local, seasonal and delicious. We have brought together both new and experienced marketers over the past few months who are absolutely passionate about their products and specialist in their field.

“True to the tradition of farmers’ markets, they love to chat with customers, getting to know them and inform how they produce their products.

There is a selection of organically grown vegetables, locally made cheese and yoghurt, meat, baked goods, jam, handcrafted jewellery, cocktails and smoothies, curries, pot plants, a professional photographer and bar facilities.”

To book a store, contact Sue Bornman on 072 827 2483 or 033 413 2121/33.

Stores are still are available at R100 per store.

Children are also invited to come and cool off at the Beehive pool and we also going to host an exciting pancake-eating competition on the day.
