Pannar mixed doubles tournament

2018-07-04 06:01

THE popular annual Pannar mixed doubles handicap tournament will be played on Sunday, July 29.

This is always a fun tournament with different strength categories, so even if you are not a strong player, because of the handicap, you have a very good chance of winning the trophy.

Entry fee is R130, which includes teas, eats, and lunch.

Please WhatsApp your entries to Ashley Cotterrell on 082 415 0525, or e-mail him at ashley.cotterrell@icloud.com.

The tennis club’s monthly family day is on July 7. On the second Saturday of each month the club hosts a day focussed on encouraging new members/players to the sport. The format of the tennis is the same as the normal Saturday tennis, with the only differences being:

It is a very social afternoon with a high turnout of non-members.

Entertainment is provided for young children from 3 pm to 4 pm.

Braai fires are lit after the tennis with most players staying for the bring and braai.

Players are encouraged to bring a salad to share.

Ideal for people who want to try their hand at playing tennis.

Subs for the afternoon are subsidised for non-members at only R25.

All families are welcome for a fun afternoon of tennis.

JULY TENNIS DUTIES:

July 7 — Martin Platt

July 14 — Pam Paul

July 21 — Andrew Mason

July 28 — Bobby Pearson
