Positive rabies case in district

2017-11-22 06:02

AN alert to pet and animal owners to ensure that rabies vaccinations are up to date.

A case of rabies was positively identified last Friday at Zone 5, Angikatali (near the airstrip).

Dr Jane Wessels told the Greytown Gazette that a mongoose had attacked dogs on the farm - the dogs had killed the mongoose, which tested positive for rabies.

It is important that pet owners confirm rabies vaccinations are up to date.
