2019-05-29 06:01

THE Greytown Gazette published a story last week about huge potholes that got residents of Sargeant Street hot under the collar.

After the Gazette visited Sargeant Street on Tuesday morning and interviewed some of the residents, ward councillor Wilson Khoza promised to send a team to repair the potholes.

“The potholes were repaired in Sargeant Street. uMvoti Municipality is doing its best to deliver services to the community. We are in a process of repairing all potholes in town. We urge the residents to be patient while we deliver the services to the other areas,” Khoza said.

Residents told the Gazette that there were more than 17 potholes on the street. Motorists had to drive on the verge of the road to avoid the potholes.
