Praying the rosary for our nation

2016-10-12 06:00

ON Saturday 15 October the Catholic community of Greytown will be saying the rosary outside Greytown Town Hall. This rally will be taking place in all major cities in South Africa and Greytown has been chosen to join in. Some of the prayer intentions are:

• That our leaders would seek to honour God’s law and pray for the wisdom and knowledge necessary to solve South Africa’s complex problems.

• For an end to abortion, pornography and all offences against the law of God.

• To stop the waves of sacrilege, blasphemy and anti-religious hatred within our society.

• For each one of us – May Our Lady give us discernment and strength to withstand the trials we face.

• For all those who suffer in our town – May Our Lady console them, help them and sanctify them.

• For the dying – May Our Lady hasten to comfort them in their last moments and grant them the final grace necessary for salvation of their souls.

• For sinners – May Our Lady preserve them from despair and bring them back to the good path.

We will pray the rosary and sing a few hymns. The public is welcome to join us.
