ONCE again Greytown Primary School athletes have excelled, thus making the school extremely proud of them.

A total of 30 athletes were selected to represent the district at the provincial level competition, held in Durban in February.

The following athletes were placed in their events: Siyabonga Mthunywa for shotput; Mazwi Govender for long jump; and Blessing Jacobs for high jump.

The school is proud to announce that Blessing was also chosen to participate at a national level in high jump. The competition will take place in Germiston (Gauteng) on March 14 and March 15.

The principal, staff, and pupils are very proud of Blessing’s achievement and wish him everything of the best.

The school is also proud of Ms NP Zuma, who is also an uMzinyathi official; Mrs ZL Myaka; and Mr P Ori. These teachers ensured that the athletes were well prepared for the competition.
