FOUR suspects were arrested at Enhlalakahle in Greytown for possession of drugs on Thursday, November 7.
A landlord together with the three alleged runners who were allegedly selling drugs to the community were arrested during the police raid conducted in the township.
The members of the Greytown SAPS Crime Prevention unit were acting on information received about a drug mule selling drugs to the community. Police confiscated Mandrax, straws of whoonga and rock cocaine.
A source said: “Upon executing the information a house in the area was raided and the accused fled the scene where they were chased and apprehended by the police. Drugs to the value of about R30 000 were recovered from the drug lord and his runners.”
The suspects were arrested and detained at the Greytown SAPS cells. They are expected to appear in court soon.
