School boys fight in the street

2016-03-02 06:00

Sir, I AM not quite sure why a certain Greytown school let its pupils out at 10am on Wednesday 24 February, but firstly, are these children not taught that the road is for vehicles, not for people to wander haphazardly all over it – not looking right, left or behind them.

Secondly, a group of boys, encouraged by much screaming and shouting from fellow pupil onlookers (most of whom were where the post boxes are), had a fight-game in the middle of the road from TWK to the crossroad by the post office.

They were all over the road – falling down, rolling about, hitting each other. Their behaviour was the most moronic and disgusting I have ever seen. They had no respect for their school (they were in uniform), no respect for each other and no respect for the public, in fact no respect, period.

If one of them had been hit by a car – no guessing whose fault it would be deemed not to be.
