ON Tuesday, February 12 the large gathering of Greytown Garden Club members and guests were spellbound by Shae McDonald and her team from Shae Interiors who offered a rich cornucopia of ideas on how to create serene space within one’s home.

Each member of the interior design team discussed a different element necessary to create an aesthetically pleasing, quiet space where one can retreat from the pace and demands of daily life to reflect and recharge. The importance of harmoniously bringing in design elements that appeal to the five senses such as colour and lighting, aromatic candles or diffusers, plants, textured fabrics and soothing sound was demonstrated by the team members. These design concepts were practically demonstrated by means of a variety of appealing displays set out by the Shae Interiors team.

Adding an element of fun and keeping all who attended attentively engaged and interactive, a number of lovely prize hampers were given out during the presentation to those who gave correct answers to questions asked by each presenter. In a truly inclusive and generous gesture, everyone who attended the meeting received a beautiful presentation pack put together by Shae Interiors.

The serenity and blissful ambiance that pervades the peaceful home and garden of Arvin and Varsha Aheer set the perfect tone for this meeting.

While tea and a magnificent spread of delectable eats was served, people took the opportunity to discuss design ideas with the presenters and enjoy the visually pleasing use of texture, tone and form of the unique, formally designed succulent garden envisioned and created by Varsha.
