THE management at Sisekelo High School applauded the efforts that were put in by the following workers from Kranskop Eskom Customer Network Centre Mzikayise Khambule, Nomsa Khoza, Ivirn Khumalo and Nhlanhla Nyathikazi (from Vusisizwe Security Firm) for their assistance in helping the pupil on the shooting scene. Senior supervisor at Eskom in Kranskop Thembinkosi Khuzwayo unselfishly provided his car to transport the pupil to Ntunjambili Hospital. The Grade 8 pupil, Asanda Ngubane was shot and wounded by the robbers during the robbery at a petrol service station in Kranskop last month. She was one of the three pupils who were seriously injured. The school said in a statement: “When one observes the major surgery that she has gone through and the weeks she has spent at Ntunjambili and Stanger Hospitals, it is clear that we could have easily lost her if she hadn’t been rushed to hospital soon after the shooting.“Asanda is slowly recovering using crutches to walk. The results of the shooting will have a lifetime major impact on her psychological and physical being.” -Supplied.
