UMZINYATHI District top spellers hail from Greytown Primary School.

Sbonginkosi Madlala, Kisten Naicker, and Aphiwe Khanyile represented the school at the Umvoti circuit level Spelling Bee competition and were placed in the top three.

They then moved up to represent the circuit at the district level competition, held on September 4 at Samphofu Full Service School in Msinga.

Pupils from all four circuits participated and Greytown Primary is very proud to announce that Sbonginkosini Mdladla and Aphiwe Khanyile were placed joint first at the district level and now move on to the provincial level event, being hosted in Durban on September 13.

Mrs K.D. Maharaj, their teacher and spelling bee coach, is justifiably proud of her pupils.
