St Cathryn’s news

2016-08-24 06:00

IT was good to see our ladies golf captain, Liekie, practicing this weekend, chipping and putting, stretching and running as she prepares for the ladies regional round of the Sanlam Cancer Challenge. Good luck Liekie and enjoy the competition on Sunday.

The golf course recorded 15mm of rain on Saturday night and hopefully the light verti-cutting and spike rolling will start turning the brown greens into lush, soft carpet-like greens ready for the Hermannsburg Golf Day on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 September. We have not set a definite date for spring treatment - hollow-tining and sand dressing - as we are watching the weather and are waiting for conditions to warm up.

On Wednesday 7 September we will be holding our ladies invitational from 9am. To enter, contact Liekie on 082 820 0615.

This Friday the clubhouse will be closed for a private function. We invite everyone to join us in Greytown at the NG Kerk bazaar, where there will be lots to buy, as well as supper and pancakes.

To book for golf, contact Piet on 083 269 1661.
